Congratulations to Emily Xie, who today was named as one of the two Fall Rausser College of Natural Resources Honors Symposium 2021 winners of the Melis Medal at UC Berkeley. Her honors thesis with the lab is entitled, Investigating the Likelihood of Seed and Plant Interactions in Relation to Seed Functional Traits and Adult Plant Growth Forms. Emily was primarily mentored by lab PhD student Courtenay Ray, with additional support from me. She gave a presentation on her work at a hybrid format research symposium this morning.
