The lab has been to two conferences this week. Luiza Aparecido and I presented at the American Geophysical Union in San Francisco, and Courtenay Ray presented at the British Ecological Society in Belfast.

Luiza was recognized with the prestigious Ignacio Rodriguez-Iturbe publication award for her recent paper, “Ecohydrological drivers of Neotropical vegetation in montane ecosystems”.

Lots of exciting work at each meeting, and a great opportunity to get a sense of the problems others think are important. I’m inspired for another year of science!
