Our lab members have been spread far from each other, in apartments and dormitories and homes all across the world. Community has been hard to come by, especially after long hours on video calls. Today we were able to assemble the parts of the lab that are still in Berkeley. We had a small social on the lawn of our research building – just a handful of people (plus one dog), masks, and plenty of baked goods to take away. I miss getting to see all our other wonderful lab members – let’s hope it will be possible again one day soon.
