We held a great lab social last night over Zoom. We had two real pumpkins, and two creative alternates (a pomegranate and an apple respectively). Luiza’s pumpkin was the carving contest winner!

There is a lot of aspen dieback occurring in the Gothic area near Colorado. I was just interviewed about our work in the Crested Butte News – check it out! The piece also includes great perspectives from colleagues Suzanne Marchetti (USFS) and David Inouye.
