Congratulations Grace on undergraduate summer research presentation

Congratulations to lab student Grace Fung who just gave her final research presentation at the Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory. Grace is supported by the NSF Research Experience for Undergraduates program via our LTREB grant. Grace presented on how spatial clustering impacts plant phenology, building on work collaborators have done in 2015 and 2025. She was co-mentored by Ian Breckheimer and Ali Campbell.

Grace spent the summer repeatedly hiking up to our alpine research site, often before dawn.

And days were spent out counting flowers on tagged plants.

I’m proud of everything she learned this summer, from statistical analyses to ecological thinking to field skills. Nice work!
